Unmarried America is a nonprofit information service focusing on the interests and concerns of America's 89 million unmarried adults -- as employees, consumers, taxpayers, and voters -- whether you live alone, with a roommate, or with family members.   Our educational activities include:
 
Newspaper column -- providing weekly commentary about political, economic, legal, and other issues which affect the lives of single people in the United States and abroad.  Online library
-- providing a searchable database of more than 6,500 pages of economic, political, legal, social, and demographic information about marital status, singles' rights, family diversity, and domestic partner benefits.  News service -- reporting on news, current events, opinions, essays, and commentaries affecting this large and growing population.   The newspaper column, library, and news service are functions of Spectrum Institute, a nonprofit corporation with federal tax exempt status.  The four members of the Board of Directors are depicted below.
