singles in Israel, entitled "Looking Around: The Singles Among Us," has been
added to the "Essays for Solo Singles" section of our
site.

the section of our site devoted to our National
Advertising Campaign directed to single and unmarried voters.
Recent News
has been updated with an article on October 27 about a new paternity law that went into
effect in Ohio last Friday. The law removes a presumption that formerly made a man
the legal parent of a child born tohis wife even if the man and wife were separated and
even though blood tests conclusively proved tht he was in face not the father. Many
states, including California, continue to have such a legal presumption on the books.
Also added is a story for October 31.

Let's End the Discrimination." This section will contain links to other
pages of interest to single people in the military, including a section devoted to essays
by single soldiers and a section containing letters we receive from enlisted personnel.

"Recent
News" has been updated with three stories for October 13, 2000. One is
about the continuing "marital status" gap in voting preferences for George W.
Bush and Al Gore. Another concerns a ballot measure in Arizona which would help poor
single people, and not just families, obtain health care services. The third says
that married voters are paying closer attention to the presidential race than single
voters are.

We ran an advertisement
today in the Los Angeles Times as a part of our Advertising
Campaign directed to single and unmarried voters, inviting them to join AASP.
The previous two ads we ran in USA Today were read by over 4 million readers throughout

We ran another advertisement today in USA Today as a part of our Advertising Campaign directed to single and unmarried
voters, inviting them to join AASP. We have large numbers of single people -- 80

force politicians, corporate executives, and union bosses to listen to us and pay
attention to our needs.

our members in Pennsylvania.
An article from the Mobile

benefit from his tax plan and how Gore's tax plan offers them nothing.

"bastardy" proceedings in the state codes and replace that term with appropriate
language.

first major contender for national office to specifically refer to single people.
