Biography:
Dr. Lillian Carson is an authority on child development, parenting and grandparenting. She has earned three degrees at UCLA and is a Doctor of Social Work, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work. Her studies and research focus on children, parenting and intergenerational relationships. As a psychotherapist, her private practice has served adults, children and families in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara for over 25 years.

 

She is a child-care consultant and an advocate for children.
She has been a Field Instructor at UCLA, a board member of numerous organizations serving children and families including: The Santa Barbara Children's Commission, the Editorial Board of the UCLA Working Parents Newsletter, the Advisory Council of Advocates on Behalf of Children, etc. Dr. Carson is the national spokeswoman for the Healthy AgingTM Campaign, sponsored by the United States Postal Service,
