Dear AASP member:
We are pleased to send you the most recent newsletter of the American Association for Single People. We hope you like the new look. The Spring 2002 issue is filled with a variety of articles about the needs and concerns of unmarried individuals, couples, and families. From the lead story, you can see that we have set important priorities for 2002: taxes, job benefits, and health care. The staff will be placing much of its energy on these issues for the remainder of the year. We have also initiated a new service on our website. Advice and Resources is designed to help all unmarried people find the information and resources they need on topics such as finance, law, health and fitness, social groups, travel, recreation, and volunteer opportunities. This service is so unique and so important that we decided to have an Open House on the website during the months of March and April. We want everyone to see what AASP has to offer. AASP is sharpening our focus and expanding our services. We are the nation’s leading provider of information and resources for and about unmarried Americans. Our mission is to improve the quality of life and secure a better future for this growing constituency. Please help us expand membership by spreading the news about our organization. If each member encouraged four new people to join AASP, we would soon reach 10,000 members. Ask us for brochures, or e-mail us or call us with the contact information and we will send your friends a brochure. We appreciate your support and welcome your suggestions. Together we have made great progress in creating a national organization which is bringing the concerns of unmarried Americans to the forefront of public attention. With dedicated staff and loyal supporters such as you we will continue to do so. |
