Letter to editor: Time for singles' tax revolt

The politicians hate single people with no kids. Once again, a tax cut is signed into law that won't do anything for most single, childless, minimum-wage workers.

For all the talk about the "marriage penalty," not once have I heard about the "single's penalty."

It is time for a tax revolt -- a revolt by single people who either can't have or don't want kids. It's time for those low-income single people who are responsible enough to not have kids they can't afford to raise to wake up and realize that Congress has chosen them to be the losers when it comes to writing tax law.
