More Japanese teens think
marriage is not a necessity
A story released today by Kyodo News reports that
according to a survey held by the Tokyo-based Japan Youth Research Institute, only 20% of
Japanese junior and senior high school students view marriage as a necessity, representing
the lowest rate among peers in South Korea, France and the United States.
The same survey also showed that among Japanese respondents, only 30% of males and 12%
of females viewed marriage as a necessity.
