Nora is a clinical psychologist and the director of the Counseling Center of West Los Angeles. Her practice specializes in trauma and abuse related issues, depression and anxiety, children and adults with disabilities, sex therapy, couple counseling, and gerontology. For more than a decade, Nora was the director of the Disability, Abuse, and Personal Rights Project of Spectrum Institute. She is currently the Director of the Child Abuse, Neglect and Disability Outreach Project, which is funded in part by the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services. |
For the past 17 years,
Tom Coleman has served as
executive director of Spectrum Institute, the parent corporation of
Unmarried America, sometimes known as
the American Association for Single People (AASP) Tom coordinates and directs the activities of the corporation's projects. Tom is an attorney with 30 years of experience doing education, litigation, and consulting focusing on personal privacy rights, family diversity, singles rights, domestic partnership benefits, and marital status nondiscrimination law. |
Michael A. Vasquez has provided
administrative services for Spectrum
Institute and its various projects for the past five years. He was formerly employed by the State of California as a Psychiatric Technician at Camarillo State Hospital. In that capacity he worked on a daily basis providing supervision and treatment for troubled teenagers who were living there in a long-term residential rehabilitation program. In addition to his administrative duties with Unmarried America, Michael will be working with the newly created Emancipation Project of Spectrum Institute. |
